Another Flames' Tournament Championship

             The 1996 team was formed in 2006 and currently plays at the A level.  During its five years, this team has finished first or second in 19 tournaments.  In its fall 2009-spring 2010 season, it won three tournaments and finished second in a fourth.  In two of these tournaments, the Flames '96 played in the 16U division (one championship and one second place.)  Two of our season highlights were playing in the 1996 Olympic Softball Stadium at the Columbus ASA national qualifier and playing at the USFA World Series (A Division) in Panama City.  This team will look carefully at any strong player.  All Flames players must tryout each year for their team and no returning players are exempt from tryouts.  This team has particular needs for another strong pitcher, strong outfielders with speed, and any player who can produce runs.  Unlike many A teams, we do not chose our team based on height and weight.  We realize that strong players come in all shapes and sizes.  The team practices at Murphey Candler Park, conveniently located off I-285 in Dunwoody.
