be deemed more impressive than a 2006 3rd Place finish, the 2007 Flames
finished tied for 5th in the USFA World Series in Panama City
Beach. Demonstrating the Flames mantra of ATTITUDE, EFFORT ,
PERFORMANCE ...the Flames represented their team, coaches and parents in a
way that all should be proud. The Flames lost 5-2 but out hit
the Blast 9-8 and were led by Meghan Whipple, Erika Hoffner and Scoop
Foulke who all collected two singles. Allie Davis, Kellie
Wooden and Jennifer Yancey collected hits also.
Andrea Cole got the nod
as starter for the Flames and went 4 innings (5 hits/2 runs) and Scoop

continued their trek to the USFA Championship after a 7-2 win over the

the pedal off the metal as they connected for eight hits in the early
morning tilt. As usual, Scoop Foulke led the way with two hits
(3B/2RBI). Brittany Van Frayen had two hits and and an RBI and

Bounce Back 9-1 Win Bounces Flames
Into Gold Bracket Round
Panama City, FL -- July20, 2007
Looking to better their
3rd Place finish in the 2006 World Series, the 2007 Flames squad will
start play tomorrow as one of only 8 teams left in the USFA 14-U
World Series. Four undefeated teams will square off against four
one-loss teams for the World Series title. Keeping their chins held
high, the Flames said nuh-uh to any elimination thoughts that the Humble
TX may have had in mind on their way to a 9-1 route.
With Kellie Wooden and
Scoop Foulke choking the bats of the Cobras the Flames made the most of
their six hits. Leading the parade was Scoop Foulke with a single
and a double. Brittany Van Frayen had a double and Mary Q,
Jennifer Yancey and Liz Schneider chipped in with singles.

East Cobb Mad Dogs Bounce Flames
Into Loser Bracket With 11-0 Drubbing
Panama City, FL -- July20, 2007
When your error total
overshadows your hit total, the outcome is usually predictable.
Unfortunately, the Flames weren't the exception as they committed 7
errors and could only manage a double by Meghan Whipple and a single by
Scoop Foulke. The Flames look to get that game behind them and move
into Gold Bracket Play on Saturday by beating the Humble, TX Cobras Blue
under the lights on Friday evening.
Andrea Cole started for
the Flames, went one inning, and was relieved by Cool Whip.

3-2 Win Over Middle Tennessee Lady
Mustangs Puts
Flames On "Beach" For Thursday
Panama City, FL -- July18, 2007
Amidst some questionable
sportsmanship techniques exhibited by some Mustang fans, the North Fulton
gang emerged as 3-2 winners and vaulted themselves to a Thursday
"free" day as a result of their 2 win and zero loss elimination
round record. The Flames collected 8 hits while the
pitching staff of starter Meghan Whipple and Scoop Foulke got stingy and
only gave up 5 hits.
Jennifer Yancey led the
way with a double and a single, Scoop Foulke had two singles and Erika
Hoffner, Allie Davis, Lara Gartner and Kellie Wooden had singles.
The Flames will sit back
on Thursday and get things going again on Friday at 9:00 am.

Flames Whip Tennessee Elite 8-1 in
1st Elim
Game
Panama City, FL -- July18, 2007
The Tennessee Elite team
got "Wooden Whippled" by the Flames as the North Fulton pitching
duo of Kellie Wooden and Meghan Whipple froze the Elite bats with just 3
hits. Scoop Foulke did the big damage for the Flames with 2
hits and 2 RBI's. Mary Quattrocchi had two singles and Brittany Van
Frayen and Jennifer Yancey each had singles. Sometimes just putting
the bat on the ball is beneficial as Liz Schneider illustrated when
she came up golden with 3 RBI's without a hit.

Rain-shortened Win For Flames
Panama City, FL -- July16, 2007
An afternoon downpour
shortened the Flames 2nd pool game but put it in the books as a 3-1 victory
over the Texas-based Missouri City Magic Elite. With play suspended, the
Elite never showed back up for the conclusion and the Flames decided to
take on a little "extra work" by playing the Illinois Downstate
Rippers in an inpromptu non-official 2-inning
affair. The North Fulton gang bested them by a 6-2
score. Leading the way in the "dual-pool" was Cool
Whip Whipple with an RBI double. The Flames added single singles by
Scoop Foulke, Mary Quattrocchi (RBI), Liz Schneider (2RBI), Jennifer
Yancey and Brittany Van Frayen (RBI).
The Flames played
errorless ball behind the pitching of Andrea Cole and Whipple.

Flames Trip Up Tennessee
Xplosion in Pool Debut - Win 2-1
Panama City, FL -- July16, 2007
A booming, big 1st
inning double by Liz Schneider plated the only two runs the Flames gals
would need in their opening day game in the 2007 USFA World
Series. After singles by Erika Hoffner and Jennifer Yancey,
Schneider leaned into an outside 1-1 pitch and spanked a one-hopper off
the right center fence. The two runs held up as starter Kellie
Wooden (3 innings) and Scoop Foulke kept the Xplosion in check all
morning. Lara Gartner had a double and Brittany Van Frayen had a
single to complete the offense for the Flames.
